Staking risk warning

CEX.IO is not responsible for any losses incurred as a result of using any of our profits projections. We pay the Staking reward to our customers only after receiving the claimed funds from the dedicated PoS blockchain providers. Please familiarize yourself with the full staking terms of each applicable Staking coin provider before deciding to participate in the Staking process.

• Despite being generally safe to use, the staking process may, among others, face such problems (list is not exhaustive):
• Volatility of token. It is something with risk as cryptocurrencies are highly volatile products. Participation in staking does not guarantee profit for you.
• No rewards from validators. By entering into a staking you should submit that there are no guarantees of payments from the respective blockchains, you enter into such a process at your own risk.
• 51% attack. There is the potential risk on a global scale for a blockchain protocol - a 51% attack which refers to an attack where a group of miners owns more than 50% of the network to carry out irreversible events, which may be associated, among other things, with financial losses. We monitor such events in real time and immediately inform clients about significant events on the networks, but you must be aware of this risk and be prepared for such a scenario.

• There is the risk also that the CEX.IO’s Platform fails. The negative consequences for you as may be as follows:
• 1. CEX.IO may not be able to carry out automatic staking rewards in time.
  2. You will not be able to get your staking reward on time.
  3. You will not be able to add more assets for staking process.
  4. You will not be able to log into your personal account.

Please be aware, that CEX.IO follows the highest security standards and practices and takes maximum precaution measures to ensure the security of your funds and data. However, it is your responsibility to take the necessary security steps to keep your account details safe and do not share it with anyone to avoid any unauthorized access and possible funds loss.
